Here is a pic of the Precice I (top) vs the Precice II (bottom). The PRECICE II nail is now available for Dr. Mahboubian’s patients. The PRECICE II system introduces a strong intramedullary design for implantation and provides increased distraction range options up to 8cm in length.
This limb lengthening nail received FDA clearance in late 2013 and Dr. Mahboubian performed the first case on the west coast successfully in December 2013. It is the best system in the market today for lengthening.
